Terms of Use

Last updated: October 5, 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the mytaxly.ca website and of the services offered by MyTaxly Inc. (“MyTaxly”, “we”), a subsidiary of Keryos CPA Professional Corporation. By using the website, completing a form or entrusting us with your return, you accept these terms.

2. Our services

MyTaxly provides an online service for preparing and electronically filing tax returns for individuals and self-employed workers. We may decline an engagement, in particular when a tax situation falls outside the scope of our services or when the required information is not provided to us. The content of the website (guides, checklists, simulator) is provided for information purposes and does not constitute advice tailored to your situation until we have accepted your engagement.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Prices and payment

The price simulator provides an estimate based on the answers you give. The final price is confirmed to you before work begins, based on your actual situation and the documents received. Applicable taxes are added to the prices shown. Payment terms are communicated to you when your engagement is confirmed.

5. Pre-registration

Pre-registration is free and without obligation. It allows us to contact you first when the tax season opens, but it does not constitute an engagement and does not guarantee a processing time.

6. Refunds, assessments and reviews

We cannot guarantee the amount of a refund or the outcome of an assessment: these decisions belong to the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec. If an error on our part is found in a return we prepared, we will correct it at no charge. Interest and penalties resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information you provided remain your responsibility.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a given service is limited to the fees paid for that service, and we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by law, including Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act where it applies to you.

8. Intellectual property

The content of the website (text, images, simulator, checklists and the MyTaxly brand) belongs to MyTaxly Inc. or its licensors. You may view and print it for your personal use, but you may not reproduce or distribute it for any other purpose without our written permission.

9. Website availability and external links

We do our best to keep the website available at all times, but we cannot guarantee it. The website contains links to external sites, such as those of the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec; we are not responsible for their content.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, subject to the mandatory laws of your province of residence, including those of Quebec.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. The terms in effect when your engagement is confirmed apply to that engagement.

13. Contact us
